Meet Anthony Graydon Founder of AuthoritySites
Working with someone online when you’ve never met them can feel a little strange. You’re handing over your money, your ideas and a fairly important part of your business to someone who, until recently, was just a name on a website.
So, it’s only fair that you know a bit about me first.
I’m Anthony, the person behind AuthoritySites. Talking about myself isn’t something I particularly enjoy. I’d much rather talk about your business and what you need. But if you’re thinking about working with me, you probably want to know who I am, what I do and whether I actually know what I’m talking about.
Fair enough.
I Don’t Just Build Websites. I Run My Business Online Entirely Online
I’ve been designing websites and helping businesses market themselves online since 2013.
Over the years, I’ve worked across website design, WordPress development, graphic design, content creation, SEO and digital marketing. Not because I decided one morning to call myself a “full-service digital expert”, but because running an online business tends to teach you quite a lot.
AuthoritySites is run entirely online. I’ve worked with clients across the UK and further afield, and I’ve rarely needed to meet anyone face to face.
That means I understand how much work your website needs to do for you.
It needs to explain what you do, help people trust you and make it easy for the right customers to take the next step. Looking nice is part of the job, of course, but a beautiful website that confuses everybody isn’t much use.
More Than 10 Years Learning Website Design & Development
I started playing around with design in 2012 while setting up my first business.
Like most people starting out, I didn’t have a huge budget or a team of experts waiting in the wings. If I needed something, I had to learn how to do it myself.
That turned into helping friends and family. Then other business owners started asking for help. Before long, what began as a side project had grown into a proper web design and marketing business.
Since then, I’ve worked with hundreds of small businesses, start-ups and independent professionals.
I’ve had plenty of successes. I’ve also made mistakes, changed direction and learned some lessons the expensive way. I don’t pretend otherwise.
That experience is useful because I understand what it’s like to build something from the ground up. I know that small businesses don’t have endless time or money to waste on things that sound impressive but achieve very little.
You need a website that works, represents your business properly and helps people understand why they should choose you.
That’s what I create.

AuthoritySites is a boutique agency, which is a slightly polished way of saying we’re small and quite happy about it.
I don’t take on every project that arrives in my inbox. I only work with clients when I believe I can help and when I think we’ll work well together.
That isn’t me trying to sound exclusive. It simply means every project gets the time and attention it needs.
I’m not interested in taking your payment, changing the colours on an old template and sending it back with your logo attached. Your business isn’t the same as everyone else’s, so your website shouldn’t look as though it came off a production line.
Before anything is designed, I take the time to understand your business, your customers and what you want the website to do.
You’ll Be Work Directly With Me
Some agencies are very good at selling websites. Once the invoice is paid, your project is quietly passed through several departments or sent to someone you’ve never spoken to.
That doesn’t happen here.
I manage your project and remain your main point of contact from the first conversation to the final launch.
I also work with a small team of trusted professionals when a project needs specialist support, including graphic designers, content writers and SEO experts. I stay involved throughout, manage the work and make sure everyone is working towards the same result.
You won’t be passed from one person to another or left wondering who is actually in charge. That person is me.
Your Website Should Belong to You
I believe you should have control over your own website.
If you want to update a page, publish a blog post, add a case study or upload a video, you should be able to do it without submitting a support ticket and waiting three working days for somebody to change a sentence.
I build websites that are easy to manage and can show you how to handle the everyday updates yourself.
Of course, if you’d rather not touch the technical side at all, that’s perfectly fine too. I can take care of hosting, maintenance, security, content, SEO, email marketing and ongoing support.
You can be as involved as you want to be.
No Smoke, Mirrors or Mysterious Online Marketing Language
I enjoy helping business owners understand websites and digital marketing without making the whole thing sound unnecessarily complicated.
There is already enough nonsense in this industry.
You shouldn’t need a dictionary to understand what your web designer is saying, and you shouldn’t be made to feel clueless for asking a perfectly reasonable question.
